Empowering the Vulnerable for a Brighter Tomorrow
1. Executive Summary
The BEYANA Orphans and Widows Empowerment Initiative is a holistic response to the urgent needs of orphans and widows in Cameroon, particularly in the Northwest Region and other crisis-affected zones. This project aims to equip vulnerable groups with vocational training, entrepreneurial tools, and income-generating support, enabling them to achieve independence, dignity, and purpose.
2. Background and Problem Statement
In the wake of prolonged socio-political instability in Cameroon, many women have been widowed, and children orphaned. These individuals often lack support, skills, and opportunities to sustain themselves. BEYANA aims to respond with tailored programs that restore their hope and capacity to thrive.
