From Empty Shelves to Empowerment: Mrs. Lum Epse Nicoline’s Story

Mrs. Lum Epse Nicoline is a widow and mother of three who has been striving to provide for her children through a small retail shop. Unfortunately, her store had become nearly empty, leaving her unable to generate enough income to meet her family’s basic needs.

When BEYANA reached out to ask how they could support her, Mrs. Nicoline shared her vision: to upgrade her shop to a wholesale level by stocking canned drinks and other essential items. This, she believed, would allow her to earn sustainable profits and better care for her children.

To ensure transparency and assess the situation firsthand, BEYANA sent representatives to visit her store. They confirmed the severity of her need the shop was indeed bare and in urgent need of restocking.

Moved by her determination and the reality on ground, BEYANA provided her with a sum of 200,000 FCFA, presented in person by its representatives. This support marks a new chapter for Mrs. Nicoline a step toward stability, dignity, and renewed hope.

A Message of Gratitude from Mrs. Lum Epse Nicoline:

I want to sincerely thank the B.E.Y.A.N.A organization for the support you’ve given me. Receiving this help means more than words can express, and by the grace of God, I promise to use it wisely and not take it for granted.

Thank you all so much for standing with me and my children in this season. May God richly bless you.
